Hi, I’m Helen
I’m a chartered pelvic health physiotherapist, and I help women with pelvic health problems (e.g. leaking, prolapse, pain, tension, diastasis) to get back moving freely and confidently again.
When I'm not in the clinic, I also love collaborating with and teaching healthcare and fitness professionals how to do better by their female clients and patients.
The fact is that pelvic floor problems can have a huge impact on quality of life and reduce participation in sports and exercise and I feel so passionately about helping that to change.
There are so many mixed messages, damaging myths and outdated information still circulating the female wellness space.
Women deserve to be empowered with all that they can do, not to be presented with more barriers. Women deserve better support getting back to the exercise and movement that they love, regardless of what they may be!
There is nothing off limits no matter what you have been through, there is always a way forward, there are always improvements to be made and most importantly, it is NEVER too late to start.
I have been helping get active women better from pelvic health problems since 2008 and I have been speaking and tutoring on the topic since 2013.
Over the years I have worked with and supported many women in so many circumstances; complete exercise beginner to elite olympians, and from numerous different sports; Crossfit, Olympic WeightLifting, Powerlifting, Tennis, Rugby, Football, Skiing, Track and Field, long, middle and short distance running to name but a few.
I also adore exercising myself too with CrossFit style movement being my current favourite, although with two small boys at home it’s been hard getting to the gym as much as I would like but I am making the most of what I can do at the moment!
